Forest School
Forest school encourages and inspires children through an innovative, long term, educational approach to outdoor play and learning in a woodland environment. Instead of set activities there are experiences and opportunities. Rather than saying “Today we will”, the children are immersed in a story which feels magical. Forest school is about the process not the product. Through this approach children become confident, curious and creative.

Learn to play. Play to Learn
We offer a full programme of activities for all children based on their interests – but not before taking time to get to know what they like. Rest assured, we’ll never leave a child in our soft play area for hours just because they’re happy and giggling.
Instead, we take a balanced view of play, combining indoor and outdoor games with educational activities, reading and storytelling, arts and crafts, and a minimum of ten minutes’ structured PE every day.
Interactive whiteboards help us deliver a challenging and creative learning activities and, of course, as a nursery, we can also deliver the advantages of stimulation, social development and learning experiences that can only come from group activities, and social and cultural diversity.
Reggio Emilia Inspired
Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy of teaching, learning and advocacy for children. In its most basic form, it is a way of observing what children know, are curious about and what challenges them.
